High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. High Cholesterol at Applebee's

The food was good but smaller portions then our regular Applebee's. The menu here seemed larger though with more deals. Overall you can't really go wrong with Applebee's!!

From the moment that we walked in the door it was a poor experience. The host told us to have a seat because there is a wait, even though there were many open tables in sight. In addition to the wait with open tables, he was texting on the job. This location should probably reevaluate their hiring process. It took our waitress 15 mins to bring out our alcoholic drinks and the spinach and artichoke dip was cold when brought out. When we received our food, which was three cheese chicken penne pasta and fiesta lime chicken, the chicken was burnt to a crisp and felt like we were chewing on charcoal. I wasn't notified that they were out of limes (an essential part of the dish) until my food was brought to me. The waitress did not seem concerned at all when we told her that our food was burnt. Overall this was a very poor experience and I would not recommend it to anyone.

This was my home Applebees, it was close to home/work and all that. I love Applebees, but apparently I attract the slow servers here. There has been 2 out of probably 30 times that I haven't had slow service. This last time (I wish I could find his name) our waiter was so slow that he served us drinks AFTER our food. Never was even offered a refill, even though we were so busy eating 45 minutes later after we ordered. Luckily, I had a job where they didn't freak out if we were late from lunch. An hour and a half lunch at Applebees a little ridiculous. Overall I love this applebees setup. Their menu is good (as long as they don't burn your food) and it's not a bad price. This one just needs to get their stuff together or they will be as bad as the Fairview Heights location.

So they have 5.99 burgers on Monday nights! Great! Ordered the black blue and bourbon burger (minute the blackened!). Burger was cooked fine but the 'shrooms and onions were COLD and so was the bun. I never send back food but sent back the cold burger. Second go around was not much better. Still had cold onions not grilled. The waitress was nice enough very pleasant. The manager offered dessert but I did not take advantage of them. I just wanted a good burger. Packed up to microwave at home!

Ribs were great thicker than normal. Great server Tracy H. Snow storm is happening now so the food came out super fast. Breads sticks I ordered were not very good I sent them back. Very hard & tasted old even though they looked fresh. they might of microwaved them? Manager never once came out. Clean floors but my glasses were dirty.

It's not that far of a drive. Every now and then I just have that urge to have some good Applebee's grilled food. They never disappoint.

It's a chain restaurant but it's a good chain restaurant. The Quesadilla Burger is very delicious. They have a strawberry long island ice tea that tastes like kool-aid that is good and their raspberry long island is also another great drink. The 3 cheese penne pasta is another tasty dish. If your a chain person and like the routine Applebee's is a nice place to go with good food.

I left my wallet and the video shows the hostess picking it up. Then she takes it to the host stand where there is no camera instead of giving it to a manager like she is suppose to. I got my wallet back minus $300.

Quick service! For terrible salad, undercooked bacon, over cooked chicken tenders, and shrimp. And this was a pick up order. Which once I got to the hotel we had no silverware and they forgot my drink. I would choice a McDonald's then this establishment.

This is your typical Applebee's. Service is good, everyone I've encountered here has been friendly. Some nights it's really slow service though, that's the only downfall. Half price appetizers 3pm-6pm Monday - Friday is really nice for happy hour after work, also half price again from 9:30 - close every night. Mondays they have $5.99 burgers! So I make sure to always come when they have specials.

We decided to give Applebees a try for the first time in years. Food was tasty, drinks were good. Service was very slow (15 min seating wait and 20+ for food). My soup never arrived and my husband chipped a tooth eating a sandwich that had a piece of bone in it. Probably won't come back-54 across the street is just so much better!

Disgusting! Very dirty place to eat at! I've tried this location a couple times and each time was a bad experience. Not necessarily service but the food. How can a hot plate be cold? Cold stale fries, welt salad. Yuck! Will never return. Very sad because it's located in a busy area. Another restaurant deserves to be there.
